Weston Dressler re-signed with the Saskatchewan Roughriders on Wednesday night.

The Saskatchewan Roughriders confirmed what the entire province has been talking about Thursday morning, Weston Dressler is back in green and white.

The Riders officially announced the signing of the all-star slotback after reports on Wednesday night that he signed a one-year deal with the club. As per team policy, terms of the deal were not released.

Dressler returns to Saskatchewan after playing in three preseason games with the Kansas City Chiefs in the National Football League. He didn't get a catch before being released on Monday in the first round of cuts.

His release sparked a bidding war between CFL teams with Dressler reportedly taking less money to return to Saskatchewan, signing a pro-rated $200,000 deal with the Riders when Ottawa had offered $250,000.

In six seasons with the Riders, Dressler played in 98 career regular season games and sits third in franchise history with 442 receptions and 6,536 yards. His 43 receiving touchdowns have him fifth on the team's all-time list.

The Riders will practice on Thursday at Mosaic Stadium, however the practice is closed to the public and media.
