Some of the aspiring Moose Jaw Warriors are in their first ever WHL rookie and training camp, while former Warriors like Tanner Jeannot are getting ice time and get set for their pro hockey seasons.

Jeannot played with Milwaukee of the AHL last year and scored seven goals and four assists for 11 points in 37 games.

"The mistakes you make here in junior can kind of sometimes go unnoticed, whereas the mistakes you make there are in the back of your net," said Jeannot, who played four seasons with the Warriors from 2014-2018. "It's a big learning experience, but that's where you draw from all that experience with the other guys. So you just keep asking questions, use the assest you have at your disposal and just try and learn as fast and as quick as you can, and do as good as you can."

He said he had a great season rehabbing a collarbone injury in the offseason and he's back to 100 per cent.

"It's feeling really good. Obviously injuries are always tough mentally and physically to go through. But I had a great support system with my family and teammates and just the people you meet along the way," Jeannot said. "They really supported me and helped me to back to where I am. And I'm looking forward to goin g in this season and having a good year."

Jeannot's last season with the Warriors saw him score 40 goals and 40 assists for 80 points, and he was also a +49.
