Nine swimmers from the Moose Jaw Flying Fins compete at a provincial meeting in Regina last weekend, picking up 12 medals and numerous personal bests. 

Jodi Franken, Richard Lai and Xander Penner had excellent swims, achieving personal bests in all of their swims. 

Meanwhile, Rowan Gray, Lai and Rylan Montgomery achieved their Provincial “A” Standard in the 50m Freestyle, qualifying them for the Junior Provincial Championship meet that will be hosted by Moose Jaw from March 4 to 6. Around 200 swimmers are expected to take part in Junior Provincials. 

Leif Abrahamson finished first in the boys 12 and over 50m Breast, while finishing second in the 200m Free and 100m Back and third in the 200m IM and 200M Fly. 

Montgomery had a second-place finish in the boys 12 and over 50m Free and finished third in the 50m Breast, 100m IM and 100m Back. 

Penner found the podium by finishing second in the boys 11 and under 50m Fly and third in the 200m Free and 50m Free.
