Lacrosse players from across Saskatchewan came out to remember one of the province's best players over the weekend in Moose Jaw.

The 2019 Ken Stewart Memorial Classic went at Yara Centre on Saturday with friends and family coming together to honour the local lacrosse player, who passed away in 2013.

"We had guys from Saskatoon, Yorkton and Regina, the Stewart family came to support as well, it turned out really nice," said Kyle Dalgarno, who helped organize this year's event with Frank Davalos.

"The Stewart family loves it, they get to see some familiar faces that Ken used to play with, used to play against, all coming together to have a fun game, remembering the sport that he loved and played."

The event raises funds for the Ken Stewart Memorial Scholarship with $250 being brought in at this year's event.
