Two of the top scorers in the Western Hockey League square off on Friday night in Edmonton.

The Warriors' Tristin Langan and the Oil Kings' Trey Fix-Wolansky sit tied for second in scoring with 76 points each entering their showdown at Rogers Place.

"He's a good player, he's a good scorer, it's nice that we're tied, so hopefully I can beat him here tonight," said Langan, who leads the Warriors with 37 goals and 39 assists in 44 games this season.

Friday is the penultimate game of the Warriors' seven-game road trip. Moose Jaw has posted a 4-0-1-0 record over the first five games of the trek.

The Warriors are coming off a 3-2 overtime win in Prince George on Tuesday, which was a game that the team wasn't pleased with how they played despite the win.

"It was the worst game of our roadie so far, but we managed to pull out a win and that's all that matters but we've got to be better [against Edmonton]," said Langan.

The Oil Kings currently lead the Central Division with a 25-14-4-4 record and will present the Warriors with a stiff test at the end of 14 days on the road. Edmonton is riding a five-game point streak entering Friday’s contest.

"Edmonton is going to be really tough, they're a good team, same with Medicine Hat [who the Warriors play on Saturday], so we need to finish these two games off strong and get back home," said Langan.

"We've got to manage pucks in the right spots and play a full sixty."

The Warriors and Oil Kings face-off at 8 p.m. on Friday night. The Pre-Game Show is on the air at 7:40 p.m. on Country 100.

After Friday's game, the Warriors will travel to Medicine Hat to meet up with the Tigers on Saturday night at 8:30 p.m. This will be the final game of the Warriors' seven-game road trip and it will also be the first half of an extended home-and-home with the Tigers coming to Mosaic Place next Friday.
