Tristin Langan and Brayden Tracey had three points each on Saturday afternoon to lead the Moose Jaw Warriors to a 5-2 win over the Regina Pats at Mosaic Place.

The win is the second straight for the Warriors to open their three-in-three weekend, which concludes on Sunday with the Kootenay Ice in Moose Jaw.

On Saturday, the Warriors established a fast pace in the first period, they were tenacious on pucks inside the Pats line which led to winning battles on the boards and a 16-2 advantage on the shot clock.

Working on the power-play at 9:19, Jett Woo had the puck in the high Regina slot, he looked towards the net and made a nice pass to the left side of the Regina net where Langan tipped in his team-leading 43rd goal.

Moose Jaw extended their lead with just under four minutes left in the frame when Tracey and Justin Almeida worked together to break up a Pats' clearing attempt and then drove towards the Regina net where the rush finished with Tracey's 30th goal of the season.

Regina started the second period on the power-play and they used that opportunity to their advantage. Moose Jaw turned the puck over to Brady Pouteau inside the Warriors left circle and led to a Regina goal.

The Pats kept pushing throughout the second period and they were able to tie the game two at 11:19 when Garrett Wright scored on a shot off the rush.

With just over two minutes left in the second period, Langan charged down the Regina left boards and then cut to the net for a shot, the Pats went there to play the rebound but they shot it off of Josh Brook's chest and it redirected over the goal line to give Moose Jaw a 3-2 lead.

Inside the final minute of the period, Langan won a face-off in the Pats left-circle, Brook walked across the blue-line and then lifted a wrist shot towards the net where Langan was and he knocked the puck down and then lifted a back-hand over Max Paddock. It was Langan's second of the game and gave Moose Jaw a 4-2 lead.

Regina tried to push back in the third period but the Warriors limited to just five shots in the frame. Moose Jaw put the game out of reach with five minutes to go on Carson Denomie’s fourth goal of the year.

Langan had two goals and three points, Tracey had a goal and three points, and Brook had a goal and two points.

The Warriors outshot the Pats 35-17 and both teams were 1-for-3 on the power-play.
