The Moose Jaw 18U AA Canucks couldn’t hold on to a late lead in a 14-13 loss to the Buffalos Wednesday night in Regina.

The Buffalos jumped out to a quick 7-1 lead after only the first inning, but Moose Jaw would rebound with five runs in the second and a single run in the third to tie up the game.

Moose Jaw would take the lead 12-11 in the fourth inning and extended their lead to 13-11 heading into the bottom of the fifth. Three runs by Regina in the bottom of the inning gave the Buffalos the lead before the game was called off because of rain.

Nick Lougheed went four-for-four at the plate while driving in three runs. Lougheed and Tate MacDiarmid split the pitching duties.

The Canucks are back in action Tuesday when they are back in Regina to face the Blue Jays.
