A late burst of offence by the Regina Blue Jays was the difference as they defeated the Moose Jaw 18U AA Canucks 9-4 Monday night in Regina.

Moose Jaw found themselves down 5-4 after five innings when the Blue Jays put four runners across the plate in the bottom of the sixth.

Brendan Gerbrandt got the start on the mound for the Canucks. He went four innings, struck out two and allowed three runs. Dylan Anderson pitched three innings in relief.

The Canucks will have another crack at the Blue Jays when they host Regina on Wednesday night at 6:15 p.m. at Ross Wells Park.
