The Prairie Edge School of Skating found success at a pair of recent competitions, including the Swift Current Skating Club's Regional Invitational.

12-year-old Jillian Polupski had a great showing as she came away with one gold, one silver and one bronze medal at the competition a few weekends ago.

"I was actually quite surprised with how well I did… My jumps haven't been good lately so they turned out pretty good," said Polupski. "My double-[salchow) was really good, which I have been working on."

The local club also had 12-year-old Kalista Brown walk away with some hardware during the competition as she picked up three silver medals.

"My elements weren't as good as I expected, but everything else when how I had hoped," said Brown. "I was working on my jumps, they went well."

Kasidey McQueen, Simone Weber, Emily Smuk, Lauren Halverson and Adriana Griffen also competed for Prairie Edge in Swift Current.

Halle Ducharme and Brooke Pryor from Prairie Edge were also on the ice in Regina this past weekend, winning some hard in the Star 3 and Star 4 divisions respectively.
