Some local minor hockey teams found success over the weekend at a pair of tournaments, including one here in the Friendly City.

Solid Weekend at Home

Moose Jaw hosted 16 teams from around the province over the weekend for the Moose Jaw Bantam B Tournament and it was a great success for some of the local teams taking part.

In total, three of the four local teams were able to advance into the playoff round. The Kings ended up finishing in second place, falling to Estevan in the final, while the Stars captured fourth place, falling in the bronze medal game to Swift Current.

It's been a good two week run for both the Kings and Stars as they ended up in the final at the Saskatoon Bantam Tournament the weekend before. The Kings currently sit first in the league with a 3-0-2 record, while the Stars are second at 2-1-3.
