Coming off a 6-6 tie against the Regina White Sox on Tuesday night, the Moose Jaw Mallards found their way back into the win column on Thursday.

The Mallards went into Regina and downed the Blue Jays, 9-7, in Baseball Regina Bantam AA League action.

The win improves Moose Jaw’s record to 4-1-1 on the year, they’re undefeated in five straight games since dropping the season opener.

The Mallards’ bats were working consistently throughout the game on Thursday as they scored two runs in the first inning, one in the second, two more in the third and fourth and then added another two in the fifth.

Evan Callaghan got the start and win for Moose Jaw on the mound, allowing three runs over three innings of work. Rylan Watson gave up two runs in two innings, while
Jeremy Kohl finished off the game, allowing two runs in the sixth.

Watson reached base in all three at-bats, scoring twice, while Riley Skarbon scored twice as well in the win.

The Mallards will return to the field in league play on Tuesday to host the Swift Current 57s at Swarbrick Diamond. First pitch is at 6:30 p.m.
