Dawson Colenutt had a goal and two points for the Moose Jaw Midget A Warriors on Monday night, but it wasn’t enough as they lost 7-3 to the Notre Dame Hounds in Wilcox.

Oliver Hallett and Jordan Johnson also scored in the loss for Moose Jaw.

The Warriors trailed 2-0 after the first period, but Colenutt and Hallett scored back-to-back goals to tie the game up at two just past the midway point of the second.

The tie game didn’t last long as the Hounds struck for goals from Benjamin Knowles and Gary Leggot only 13 seconds apart late in the second to move back in front.

The Hounds would score three more goals in the third to move in front 7-2 before Johnson scored with 3:27 remaining in the game to finish off the night.

The Warriors are now 1-20-0 on the year in the Hockey Regina League. They will return to the ice on Friday when they head to Indian Head and then they host the Prairie Storm on Saturday at the Bert Hunt Arena.

Coming up on Tuesday night, the Midget AA Warriors hit the road into the Queen City to meet up with the Regina Vics in the South Saskatchewan Minor Hockey League.
