The Moose Jaw Midget 'AA' Warriors took one on the chin on Thursday night as they dropped a 10-2 game to the Lumsden/Bethune Lions at the Bert Hunt Arena.

The loss drops Moose Jaw's record to 2-33-0 this season in the Saskatchewan AA Hockey League.

Patrick MacLachlan and Noah Braun scored in the loss for the Warriors. Conlan Nielson led the Lions with a hat trick and five points in the win.

Moose Jaw is back on the ice on Friday night for their regular-season finale against the Notre Dame Hounds. They face-off at 7:30 p.m. at the Kinsmen Arena.

The Moose Jaw Peewee Mavericks finished off their regular season in style on Tuesday night, rolling to a 10-2 victory over the Barracudas in Balcarres.

Brooklyn Nimegeers scored six goals and finished with eight points in the win for the Mavericks. Jesse Mielke added a goal and two points, while Brooklyn Hrynkiw and Kiana Hrechka scored the other markers.

Moose Jaw went 14-5-2 this season in the Saskatchewan Female Hockey League, which has them in third place in the South Division. They will open the playoffs next week.

In the Midget 'A' division, six Moose Jaw players helped the Wood River Ice Cats to a perfect 20-0-0 during the regular season.

Lindsay Daniel, Devyn Davey, Kaylen Logan-Pemkowski, Alex Foreman, Courtney Botterill and Dakota Knox from Moose Jaw joined up with the Ice Cats this season after there weren't enough players to field either team.

The Ice Cats finished the regular season with 7-0 and 10-0 wins over the South East Goldwings on Saturday and Sunday.

They have a first-round bye and will hit the ice in the second round at the end of the month.
