Despite outscoring their opponents 71-10 over the first seven games, the Moose Jaw Midget Mustangs are still finding ways to improve their game.

"We're trying to adjust the little things, we're trying to clean up stuff like the breakaway goals against and we're just trying to play hard against all the teams," said Mustangs forward Atley Calvert after Tuesday night's 13-3 win over the Regina Snipers at Mosaic Place.

Calvert had five goals and six points to lead the way for the Mustangs in the win, which pushed their record to 7-0 this season in the South Saskatchewan Lacrosse League.

The Mustangs haven't faced much of a challenge this season, but Calvert said they're striving to find ways to challenge themselves.

"We've got to clean up getting back on defence, our line changes could be better and stuff like that," he said. "Everything else is clicking pretty good, everyone is pretty tight in there, so it's pretty fun."

Kayde Shymko, Ethan Peters and Jacob Gyman also scored in the win for the Mustangs. Brennan Blatz chipped in with three assists and Mac Simpson picked up the win in goal.

The Mustangs return to action on Sunday when they travel to Swift Current to take on the Rampage.

The Bantam Mustangs were also in action on Tuesday night, scoring an 8-2 win over the Regina Smash at Mosaic Place. The Mustangs are also 7-0 this season in the South Saskatchewan Lacrosse League.

Dylan Bandet and Colton Ebbett had two goals and three points each in the win, while Josh Johnson added a goal and two points. Lukas Salikin, Liam Fitzpatrick and Eric Woodley also added goals.

They will take on the Rampage MW in Swift Current on Saturday.
