The Moose Jaw Miller Express started their week on a winning note as they went into Currie Field and knocked off the Regina Red Sox, 10-4, on Tuesday night.

Outfielder Alex Hendra-Brown continued his hot start to the season as he hit his second home run and drove in four runs in the win. First baseman Ty Roseberry and shortstop Ty Lightly chipped in with two RBI each.

Markus Gregson earned his first win of the season on the mound for the Millers, going five innings, allowing three runs on seven hits and four walks. He struck out two.

The bullpen allowed just one run on three hits over four innings, including a shutout eighth inning for Cortland Hampton in which he struck out the side and a perfect ninth inning for Blake Gallagher.

Regina jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first inning on an RBI-single from Colton Onstott and David Modler came around to score on a wild pitch.

Moose Jaw didn't answer until the fourth inning, but they did so in a big way as Hendra-Brown smacked a three-run home run to put the Millers in front 3-2.

The teams traded runs in the fifth before the Millers exploded for five runs in the seventh inning to lead 9-4 after seven.

In the seventh, catcher Ty Barclay led off with a single and came around to score on a double by third baseman Geordie McDougall. Lightly cashed in McDougall with a single and then Roseberry drove in a pair with a two-out double to finish off the scoring.

The Millers tacked on another run in the ninth to seal the win.

Moose Jaw now sits at 8-2 on the year in the Western Major Baseball League, which has them a 1.5 games behind first place Weyburn, who improved to 9-0 with a 2-1 win over Fort McMurray on Tuesday.

The Millers are back on the field on Wednesday night for a rematch against the Red Sox. First pitch is at 7 p.m.
