The offence, pitching and defence were all on point for the Moose Jaw Miller Express as they captured their second straight win on Sunday night.

The Millers beat the Millionaires, 10-4, in Melville to improve to 11-8 in the Western Major Baseball League this season.

After snapping their four-game losing skid with a convincing win over Edmonton on Friday, the Millers were able to carry over that play into Sunday's victory.

"We had three things going pretty well and we definitely wanted to prove something after our last game in Melville, so it was a good night," said Millers head coach Michael Hunt.

The top of the order set the tone all night long for the Millers on Sunday, as Eric Marriott, Scott Platt and Ty Roseberry combined to go 8-for-15 with four runs scored and four RBI.

Roseberry had his fifth home-run, while Marriott smacked his first triple of the season as they led the charge for Moose Jaw.

"It's important, when you've got lead-off guys on every inning it gives you more opportunity and we had a lot of lead-off batters on each inning, so it definitely helped out," said Hunt.

Ty Barclay had a big game in the nine-hole for Moose Jaw as well, finishing 2-for-4 with two runs scored, two RBI and a walk.

John Raybourn walked three times, scored three times and finished with four stole bases in the win for the Millers.

Moose Jaw opened the scoring in the second inning and then Roseberry smacked a solo home run in the third, but Melville answered with two runs in the bottom to make it a 2-2 game after three.

The Millers were able to take control over the next two innings, they scored three in the fourth and added three more in the fifth to move in front 8-2.

Brooks Benson led off the sixth inning with a pinch-hit home run and the two sides would trade single runs over the next two innings, but the Millers had an answer at every turn for the Millionaires to secure the win.

Millers starting pitcher Mason Garispe limited Melville to just three runs despite giving up 11 hits. He struck out nine over six innings of work to improve his record to 2-1 this season.

Cortland Hampton allowed on run on three hits in the seventh and then Nick Falco and John Prudhom finished off the game pitching a scoreless eighth and ninth innings, respectively.

"Mason threw really well today," said Hunt. "Our bullpen, with those days off, it's allowed them to get back to full health and full rest, and they did what we expect them to do."

The Millers will get another day off on Monday before they host the Eastern Division-leading Weyburn Beavers on Tuesday night at Ross Wells Park.
