Moose Jaw Minor Hockey President Chris Flanagan is asking players and coaches who have been told to self-isolate to let the board know.

In a letter on the Moose Jaw Minor hockey website, Flanagan, on behalf of the board of directors, said that attending a minor hockey event while under the period of self-isolation, is strictly prohibited.

"We are very much aware that each individual is entitled to privacy and this is simply a request to help us determine when a team should have a brief pause to help prevent the spread of Covid-19 through the entire team," the letter reads.

If anyone is in a period of self-isolation, they're asked to email minor hockey.

"Any person who is discovered to have come to the rink during a mandated self-isolation period will be suspended indefinitely from all Moose Jaw Minor Hockey events, and public health will be notified immediately. The well being of all members in minor hockey is our main concern and we can not risk the spread of Covid-19," the letter said.

Flanagan wrote that reports of self-isolation will not be shared outside of the executive members of the board of directors.
