The Moose Jaw Peewee AA Warriors found the win column for the first time this season on Sunday.

The Warriors came away with a split of their two-game set against the Estevan Bruins after winning 9-1 at the Bert Hunt Arena on Sunday. The Bruins had beat Moose Jaw, 8-5, on Saturday to kick-off the weekend.

Kieran Osberg led the charge for Moose Jaw in Sunday’s win with two goals and three points, while Dylan Duzan, Brooklyn Nimegeers, Bryson Aikens and Aiden MacDonald all finished with a goal and three points each.

Marc Belanger had two assists, and Nolan Kearns and Gage Nagel also scored for Moose Jaw in the win.

Cameron Beisal was in goal for the victory.

On Saturday, the Warriors led 3-1 after the first period, but Estevan outscored them 7-2 over the final 40 minutes to skate away with the win.

Duzan scored twice in the loss for Moose Jaw, while Aikens and Belanger had a goal and two points each. Connor Yeroschak had the other goal for the Warriors.

Casson Silbernagel was in goal for six of Estevan’s eight goals, while Beisal finished the final 11:21 of the game.

The Warriors are now 1-2-1 this season. They return to the ice coming up on Wednesday in Weyburn.

Bantam AA: Warriors Lose Pair of Road Games

The Moose Jaw Bantam AA Warriors are still searching for their first win of the season after falling twice on the road over the weekend.

The Warriors dropped a 9-0 game to the North East Wolfpack on Saturday and then fell 12-3 to the Humboldt Broncos on Sunday.

Brennan Blatz, Chase Jocelyn, and Rowan Calvert scored for Moose Jaw in Sunday’s loss, while Carter Price and Mac Simpson picked up assists.

The Warriors sit at 0-4-0 as they prepare to host the Regina Pat Blues on Saturday afternoon at the Red Knight Arena.

Peewee A: Warriors Win Preseason Tourney

It was a stellar start to the year for the Moose Jaw Peewee A Warriors this past weekend as they won the 'A' side title at the ARC Peewee A Preseason Classic in Aberdeen.

The Warriors went 3-0 on their way to the title at the tournament, beating the Wynyard Monarchs 9-1 and the Saskatoon Red Wing Ice Hawks 4-2 on Saturday, and then Saskatoon Wild Rebels 10-1 on Sunday.

Trehvan McMorris and Luc Fafard had two goals each in the win over Wynyard, while Benjamin Kiefer and Donovan Harkness picked up two assists each.

In the game against the Ice Hawks, Harkness, Layne Gadd, Brogan Bowes, and Noah Thul scored in the win for the Warriors.

On Sunday, Gadd led the charge for the Warriors with a hat trick and four points. Noah Thul picked up two goals, while Kai Spencer finished with a goal and two points in the win.

Tayden Hardwicke, Cooper Erickson, and Ryland Molde also scored for the Warriors.

The Warriors return to the ice on Tuesday night when they face the Regina Shamrocks at the Cooperators Centre in the Queen City. Puck drops at 8:15 p.m.

Atom A: Red Warriors Roll Sunday

The Moose Jaw Atom Red Warriors skated to a 9-5 win over Regina on Sunday at Mosaic Place.

Brodyn Pladson led the way for the Warriors with a hat trick in the win, while Roman Markin had three assists and Austin Smith and Carter Hudyma pitched in with two goals each.

Luke Pratte also scored in the win for Moose Jaw.
