Moose Jaw's Lorraine Arguin opened the 2019 Saskatchewan Senior Women's Curling Championship on a high note on Wednesday.

The local team rolled to a pair of wins, beating Lemberg's Kim Hodson 7-2 in the opening draw and then downing Saskatoon's Merle Kopach, 6-3, in the night game.

Arguin sits tied with defending Sherry Anderson, Delores Syrota, and Cathy Inglis at 2-0 after the opening day of games.

Team Arguin will return to the ice on Thursday for games against Connie Rayner (2 p.m.) and Inglis (7 p.m.).
