Team Canada continued to roll at the 2018 World Junior Lacrosse Championship on Friday night.

Canada scored seven times in the fourth quarter to finish off a 16-7 win over the United States to close out the round robin at SaskTel Centre in Saskatoon.

Moose Jaw's Quinn Ingalls was a healthy scratch for the second straight game for Canada.

The Canadians were coming off a dominating win over Team Iroquois on Wedensday, while the Americans lost to Iroquois on Thursday, but the U.S. gave Canada all that they could handle for three quarters on Friday.

Goals from Brian Wiles, Alexi Fauzey and Michael Fricke gave the United States a 3-2 lead after one. Thomas Vaesen and Kyle Dawson scored in the first quarter for Canada.

Team Canada took a 6-5 lead heading into halftime after goals from Jacob Saunders, Vaesen, Tanner Buck and Haiden Dickson. Fricke scored his second for the Americans, while Drew Heisler also found the back of the net.

Canada extended its lead to 9-7 after three quarters as the United States continued to give hang around.

That changed in the fourth quarter however as Canada scored seven unanswered goals in frame to finish off the win.

Buck had a hat trick and six points for Canada, while Vaesen picked up three goals and five points. Johnathan Peshko chipped in with a goal and five points.

On the American side, Fricke had two goals and three points, while Wiles scored twice and Michael Guerin had a goal and two points.

Canada outshot the U.S. 60-28 in the win.

Team Canada will now face Team Iroquois in the gold medal game on Sunday night at 7:30 p.m. at SaskTel Centre.
