Moose Jaw's Chantz Petruic and Branden Klatt both put together big games for the Yorkton Terriers on Tuesday at the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League Showcase in Warman.

Petruic scored twice, while Klatt picked up three assists to help lead the Terriers to a 6-5 win over the Flin Flon Bombers, improving Yorkton’s record to 2-3-0-0 this season.

Klatt is off to a terrific start to his first season in the SJHL with four goals and seven points in four games. Petruic has three goals and four points through five games for the Terriers.

On Monday at the Showcase, Klatt scored twice for the Terriers in a 5-3 loss to the Nipawin Hawks. 

Moose Jaw's Jaxsen Wiebe scored for the Hawks in the win. The 16-year-old rookie has goals in back-to-back games after scoring in Nipawin's 3-1 victory over Flin Flon on Saturday.

Wiebe, Jeremy Bisson, and the Hawks lead the league with a perfect 5-0-0-0 record heading into their meeting with the Notre Dame Hounds to close out the SJHL Showcase on Wednesday.

Also on Wednesday, Eric Soar and the Melville Millionaires will be taking on Chase Lacombe and the Humboldt Broncos at 2 p.m. in Warman.
