After being released by the Moose Jaw Warriors on Tuesday, Moose Jaw product Chantz Petruic made his debut with the Yorkton Terriers on Wednesday night.

Petruic was held off the scoresheet in a 4-0 loss by the Terriers to the Melfort Mustangs.

In 55 games last season with the Warriors, Petruic finished with four assists.

The Terriers have a very Moose Jaw heavy roster with fellow Moose Javians Kaleb Bell, Josh Bryant and Jarid Morhart on the team as well as former General Austen Flaman.

Yorkton returns to the ice on Friday in Estevan.

Other locals suiting up in the SJHL this season include: Ahmed Ally and Dylan Jones with the Notre Dame Hounds; Jeremy Bisson with the Nipawin Hawks; and Eric Soar with the Melville Millionaires.
