The Moose Jaw Minor Basketball Association (MJMBA) is hopeful for this upcoming season.

This program is available for students in grades 2-8, and players will practice once a week with games being played on Saturday.

The season is set to start on November 1 and go until February 12.

Rhonda Johnson with the MJMBA, says the league will follow all Saskatchewan Basketball guidelines.

"Right now, according to the release, youth are not required to wear masks while playing, but spectators will have to wear masks," says Johnson.

She says they will also clean equipment and provide sanitizer.

Volunteers are also needed for coaching and referee positions.

"You can register for coaching on the website, and we run a reffing clinic on November 6 for students in grade 8 and up," says Johnson.

Registration for the season is open until October 24.

Johnson says the association is looking forward to having kids back on the court.
