The Moose Jaw High School Girls Soccer season got underway on Saturday with four games at Sunningdale Field.

Peacock split their games, first shutting out Estevan, 4-0, and then losing to Weyburn, 7-2.

Swift Current rolled over Estevan, 14-1, and knocked off Weyburn, 3-0, in the other two games.

The Boys soccer league will kick off on Monday afternoon with a game at Gutheridge Field between Riverview/Cornerstone and Vanier.

Trevor Benson walked away with the title this weekend during the 22nd annual Carl Jorgensen tournament at the Lynbrook Golf Course.

Benson knocked off last year's champion Jon White by six strokes in the A event for the tournament title.

The Jorgensen tournament raises money each year for cance research.

Weyburn's Graham DeLaet struggled over the weekend at the PGA Tour’s BMW Championship.

After going under par in the opening two rounds, DeLaet finished with a 74 and 75 in the final two rounds.

He finished tied for 37th in the BMW and that means he'll miss this week's Tour Championship, the final leg of the FedEx Cup playoff.

The Toronto Blue Jays completed the sweep of the Boston Red Sox on Sunday with a 4-3 win at Fenway Park.

They're off on Monday before returning home to host the Seattle Mariners at Rogers Centre starting on Tuesday.
