Wednesday night's Pee Wee Lacrosse action at the Kinsmen.

Friendships were left at the door on Wednesday night at the Kinsmen as the Mustangs 1 took on the Mustangs 2 in an all-Moose Jaw Pee Wee Lacrosse battle.

The Mustangs 1, powered by a five-goal third period, came from behind for a 7-4 win, coach Kevin Ingalls says they expect all games between the two Moose Jaw squads to be tight this season, "We want to finish in the league standings one and two, and right now we've got two good, strong teams right from top to bottom."

Mustangs 2 coach Chad Morash echoed that statement following the game, "That exactly when we picked these teams what we had in mind is we want to be as close as possible and we were, it was close, 4-2 coming most of the way through."

The Mustangs 2 controlled the play for much of the game and led 4-2 heading into the final period, but Mason Viczko and Brayden Johnson would each score a pair to allow the Mustangs 1 to take the lead and pull away.  Viczko would finish with four goals in the game.

"I think we ran the game for the first 54 minutes, we just got a little tired and people are conditioned yet," says Morash.  "They've got some great goal scorers and they showed us that right at the end."

"We started playing defence in the third period and it worked out," added Ingalls after the win.

The Mustangs 2, 2-0-1, are off until next Tuesday when they head to Regina to take on the Rattlers.  The Mustangs 1, 3-0-0, are off until May 8th.
