The Candace Newkirk rink’s time at the 2015 Travelers Curling Club Championship came to a disappointing end on Friday.

Team Saskatchewan lost 9-0 to Northern Ontario in the quarterfinals at the national championship in Ottawa.

After a blank in the first end, Northern Ontario got rolling in the second end, posting three and they never looked back.

They stole two in the third, one in the fourth and fifth, and twice in the sixth to roll to the win.

Saskatchewan went 4-2 during the round robin before bowing out in the quarters.

Northern Ontario went on to lose to Prince Edward Island, 6-2, in the semifinal, while Ontario knocked off Alberta, 7-3, in the other semifinal.

The final goes on Saturday at 9:00am.
