Saskatoon’s Sherry Anderson and Team Saskatchewan came away with a split of their two games on Monday at the 2018 Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Penticton, B.C.

Saskatchewan opened the day with an 8-4 loss to Kerri Einarson’s wildcard team in the morning draw, but they would bounce back in the night draw with a 10-7 win over Yukon.

After losing in the morning, Saskatchewan started the night draw strong against Yukon, stealing three in the first end, but the game was back-and-forth after that.

Yukon got back into the game with three in the sixth and then they took the lead with a deuce in the eight. Anderson and company didn’t back down however, scoring two in the ninth and then stealing two in the tenth for the win.

The split of their two games puts Saskatchewan’s record at 2-2 through eight draws at the national championship. They’re in a four-way tie for third place in Pool A with Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Northern Ontario.

Manitoba leads the pool with a 4-0 record, while Einarson’s wildcard team sits second at 3-1.

Pool B is being led by Newfoundland at 4-0, while Alberta and Canada are sitting tied for second at 3-1.

The action continues on Tuesday with draws at 11 a.m, 4 p.m. and 9 p.m. Saskatchewan is back on the ice at four o’clock against Northern Ontario.
