Day one of the High School Golf Provincials is in the books at the Cooke Golf Course in Prince Albert.  It was a fairly good opening round for the Peacock Boys Golf Team as they sit in third place heading into the final day on Saturday.

Brenn Roberge was the top local golfer on the day as he fired an 80 to sit ten shots off the lead in the individual event.  Prince Albert's Zach Hurd is the clubhouse leader after shooting a 70.

Leighton Bearchell and Nathan Corrin are both one stroke back after shooting 81s on the opening day.  Avery Bender was the highest of the foursome after he shot a 97.

Peacock is 26 strokes behind the leaders, Prince Albert Carlton, who shot a combined 210 in the first round.

The final round goes on Saturday with the first golfers teeing off at 10:00am.
