Action from Thursday night in the Senior Girls Basketball Invitational.

The Peacock Toilers are still alive in their search for the title at the Moose Jaw Invitational Senior Girls Basketball Tournament.

The Toilers doubled up the Swift Current Ardens 82-41 to advance into Saturday’s semifinal.  Macaela Crone had a big game in the win for Peacock with 27 points, while Caitlyn Kitts put up 25 points.

Peacock will now face Prince Albert St. Mary in the semifinal on Saturday at 1:30pm.

The Central Cyclones lost in the quarterfinal to Prince Albert Carlton, falling 54-42 in a tight game.  Central led going into halftime, 24-23, but gave up that lead by the end of the third quarter and couldn’t come back.

The Cyclones take on Regina Luther at 12:00pm on Saturday.

The Vanier Spirits are into the consolation semifinals after beating Weyburn 51-43 on Friday night.  Abbi Flanagan paced Vanier with 14 points in the win.  

The Spirits squares off with Meath Park at 10:30am.  The consolation final is at 6:00pm.

The Championship Final is on Saturday night at 7:30pm.
