The Peacock Tornadoes and Vanier Spirits both came out on the losing end during Thursday’s Moose Jaw High School Girls Soccer League action.

Peacock dropped a home game to the Weyburn Eagles, falling 9-1 at Sunningdale Field. Katherine McDougall had the lone goal in the loss for Peacock.

Arliss Sidloski had a hat trick, while Reece Pittman picked up a pair of goals in the win for Weyburn. Kylie Van De Woestyne, Alexi Siourinis, Sydney Spencer and Jillian LaBatte also scored for the Eagles in the win.

Vanier travelled to Swift Current and gave the undefeated Ardens a good fight, falling 5-2.

There’s two games on the way on Saturday in the girls soccer league as Central faces Vanier at 10:30 a.m. and then battles Peacock at 2:45 p.m.

The boys soccer league has four games on tap for Saturday. It starts with Peacock battling Swift Current at Smith Field and Central hosting Weyburn at the Canada Games Field at 11 a.m. The afternoon games will see Swift Current meet up with Weyburn at Smith Field and Central take on Vanier at the Canada Games Field, both games start at 1 p.m.
