High school soccer players braved rain and wind on Saturday during four games at Smith Field.

In the morning matches, the Peacock Tornadoes dropped a pair of games to the Swift Current Ardens and Colts.

The Ardens secured an 8-0 win over the Tornadoes in the girls game with Swift Current captain Allison Wall leading the way with a pair of goals in the win, while the Colts beat the Tornadoes, 6-1, in the boys game.

In the afternoon games, Swift Current stayed unbeaten on the day, topping the Vanier Spirits and Vikings.

The Ardens faced a stiff challenge from the Spirits, coming away with a 4-1 win in the game, and the Colts shut-out the Vikings in the boys game.

The next action in the high school soccer league is coming up on Tuesday when the Peacock boys travel to Weyburn to take on the Eagles at 4:15 p.m. On Thursday, the Spirits and Vikings square off with the Central Cyclones in a boys-and-girls doubleheader.
