The Moose Jaw Peewee A Warriors moved one win away from advancing into the Hockey Regina League final.

Moose Jaw skated to a 5-0 win over the Prairie Storm Thunder on Wednesday night in the Queen City to improve to 2-0 in the double knockout playoffs.

Jacob Michelson had a goal and three points to lead the way for the Warriors in the win, while Nolan Kearns picked up a goal and two points.

Cohen Coleman and Kearns scored in the first period as Moose Jaw opened up a 2-0 lead after one. They did the rest of their scoring in the second as Aiden MacDonald, Jasmine Kohl and Michelson found the back of the net to seal the win.

Alex Norman picked up the shutout in goal for the Warriors.

Moose Jaw will now face the Regina Blues on Sunday night at 6 p.m. with the winner heading straight to Wednesday final. A loss would see Moose Jaw have to play on Monday to get into the final.

The Stingrays captured the Moose Jaw Atom B city championship on Sunday with a 7-2 win over the Whalers in the title game at the Kinsmen Arena.

Gerritt Gulutzan had a hat trick and five points to lead the Stingrays to the win. Drew Biette, Suliman Suliman, Gavin Garley and Carter Conway also found the back of the net in the win.

Rhett Prior and Mckelvey Ellard were the goal scorers for the Whalers in the loss.

The Stingrays didn't lose a game all season as they went 14-0-1 during the regular season and then posted a perfect 3-0 record in the playoffs.
