The Peewee and Midget Mustangs will both play for bronze after losing in their respective semifinals on Tuesday night in the Queen City Box Lacrosse League playoffs. The Peewee Mustangs fell 6-1 to the Regina Titans, while the Midget squad lost 7-2 to the Regina Rampage.

Peewee Mustangs Can't Keep Pace

The dream of a league title ended on Tuesday night for the Peewee Mustangs as they lost 6-1 to the Regina Titans in the Queen City Box Lacrosse League semifinals.

Moose Jaw fell behind 3-0 midway through the first period when Piper Ingalls scored for the Mustangs to cut into the lead heading into the second period.

Regina were held to just one goal in the second, but Moose Jaw couldn't capitalize offensively, and the Titans eventually added two more goals in the third period for the easy win.

The loss sends the Mustangs into the bronze medal game on Thursday night at 6:30pm.

Midget Mustangs Fall In Semis

The Midget Mustangs fell behind early and couldn't battle their way back, eventually losing 7-2 to the Regina Rampage in the Queen City Box Lacrosse League semifinals on Tuesday night.

Regina opened the scoring with a pair of goals in the first period and then added to that lead with another early in the second. Tucker Beattie got Moose Jaw on the board just before the midway point of the frame, but the Rampage restored their three-goal lead with 32 seconds to go in the period.

The third period was all-Regina as they scored back-to-back goals to start the frame and then sealed the win at the midway point of the period. Teagan Anderson added a goal for Moose Jaw with 12 seconds remaining, but it was too little too late for the Mustangs.

Their loss also sends them into the bronze medal game on Thursday when they will take on the Regina Mounties at 6:30pm.

Wednesday action... The Bantam Mustangs head into Regina on Wednesday night looking for gold. They will meet the Regina Titans in the Queen City Box Lacrosse League final as Moose Jaw looks to finish off a perfect season. The two sides hit the court at 8:00pm.
