Tayden Hardwicke was the hero for the Moose Jaw Peewee A Warriors on Friday night. He capped off a big third-period comeback for Moose Jaw by scoring the game-winning goal with one second left.

The 4-3 win over the Regina Tigers gave the Warriors a perfect regular season as they went 23-0-1 in the Hockey Regina League on their way to a first-place finish.

Layne Gadd opened the scoring for the Warriors with a power-play goal midway through the first period, but the Tigers responded just 24 seconds later to tie the game at 1-1 after one.

Regina picked up a power-play goal of their own early in the second period to move in front 2-1 and then they took a two-goal lead just 3:48 into the third period.

The Warriors didn't give up however and Cole King pulled them back within with just 4:04 later.

Moose Jaw tied the game on a goal from Noah Thul with 5:53 to play in regulation and then Hardwicke potted the game-winning goal for the Warriors with just one second to play.

King, Gadd and Hardwicke all had a goal and two points in the win for the Warriors.

Moose Jaw now hits the ice on Monday for Game 1 of the league playoffs against the Falcons in Regina.

The Moose Jaw Stars advanced into the Peewee AA Tier III provincial final after skating to a 6-2 win over Regina on Friday night.

The Stars win the two-game total point semi-final series 13-5.

Moose Jaw will now face Saskatoon in the provincial final. No dates have been announced.

In the Bantam AA Tier III provincial semi-final, the Moose Jaw Oilers lost 9-2 to Saskatoon to drop their two-game total point series, 18-2.

The Moose Jaw Atom A Warriors won their playoff opener in the Hockey Regina League on Sunday, beating the Regina Blues, 5-4.

The Warriors will now take on the Moose Jaw Red Warriors as the double-knockout playoffs continue on Monday in Regina. Puck drops at 6 p.m. at the Cooperators Centre.
