The Moose Jaw Peewee A Warriors locked up first place and went into the playoffs on a high note on Monday night.

Moose Jaw skated to a 6-4 win over the Regina Royals at the Al Ritchie Arena in Regina to close out their regular season schedule in the Hockey Regina League.

Six different players found the back of the net for Moose Jaw with Aiden MacDonald, Layne Gadd, Jacob Michelson, Jasmine Kohl, Chance Cole and Cole King all scoring in the win.

Moose Jaw trailed 3-2 after one, but they moved in front 4-3 after two and after Regina tied the game up midway through the third, they sealed the win with two late goals in the frame.

The Warriors finished the regular season with a 19-3-4 record. They open the playoffs on Sunday in Regina.

Coming up on Tuesday night, the Moose Jaw Bantam A Mavericks go for the South Saskatchewan Female Hockey League title as they host the Parkland Crushers for the third and deciding game in their championship series. Puck drops at 8:15 p.m. at the Red Knight Arena.
