The Moose Jaw Warriors and Weyburn Wings battled to a 4-4 tie on Wednesday night in the Saskatchewan Peewee AA Hockey League.

Bryce Boughen paced the attack for the Warriors with two goals and three points in the tie, while Chance Cole picked up a pair of assists. 

Dylan Duzan opened the scoring for the Warriors 4:54 into the game and that lead held up until the second period when Weyburn’s Cruz Klapak scored twice to give the Wings the lead heading into the third.

Boughen scored a pair and Gage Nagel added another goal as the Warriors found the back of the net three times in the opening 9:44 of the third to take a 4-2 lead.

The Wings fought back with goals from Owen Istace and Conner Kerr 21 seconds apart to tie the game up.

Casson Silbernagel was in goal for Moose Jaw in the draw, while the Warriors were 0-for-2 on the power play and 2-for-3 with the penalty kill.

Moose Jaw returns to the ice on Sunday afternoon to host the Yorkton Terriers at the Red Knight Arena. Puck drops at 1:45 p.m. 

Coming up on Thursday night, the Bantam A Warriors host the Regina Royals to open their season at 7 p.m. at the Bert Hunt Arena.
