The Moose Jaw Peewee Mavericks are heading to the second round of the Saskatchewan Female Hockey League playoffs.

Moose Jaw skated to a 9-3 win over the Swift Current Ice Cats on Tuesday night to sweep their best-of-three series in two games.

Brooklyn Nimegeers led the Mavericks with four goals and seven points in the win. Nimegeers scored the first three goals of the game to get Moose Jaw rolling.

Danika Tonge added two goals for the Mavericks, while Brinnagh McKean and Jesse Mielke picked up a goal and two points each in the win.

Schay Camphaug earned the win in goal for Moose Jaw.

The Mavericks will now face the winner between the Southwest Cyclones and Swift Current Fire Cats in the second round.
