After falling just a bit short in the provincial final on Tuesday, the Moose Jaw Peewee A Warriors were able to finish the job in the Hockey Regina League final on Wednesday night.

Cole King scored the game-winner for the Warriors late in the third period to lift them to a 3-2 win over the Regina Cougars in the championship game at the Cooperators Centre.

Jasmine Kohl found the back of the net twice in the first period for the Warriors to give them a 2-0 lead only 6:50 into the game.

Regina struck back with a late power play goal from Ty Winacott with 6:15 left in the first. The Cougars were able to tie the game up at 2-2 with another power play goal from Jaxson South with 6:40 to go in the second.

The score stayed that way for the rest of the second and well into the third before King scored on the power play for Moose Jaw with 6:27 remaining in regulation.

Aydin Tatum had a pair of assists in the win for the Warriors, while Marc Belanger also picked up a helper.

The Warriors went a perfect 4-0 during the double elimination Hockey Regina League playoffs.
