Brayden Point has 19 goals and 42 points in 44 games for the Moose Jaw Warriors this season.Brayden Point showed that he belonged during the CHL Top Prospects Game on Wednesday night.

In his hometown of Calgary, Point was creating throughout the night and finished with one assist in a 4-3 win for his Team Orr over Team Cherry in the annual gathering of the best draft-eligible players in the Canadian Hockey League.

Point, a second-year centre with the Moose Jaw Warriors, was an injury replacement in the game, but played strong and fit in nicely during a fast paced game.  He ended up on the ice during the final minute and won a defensive-zone face-off against Kootenay's Sam Reinhart with just 2.3 seconds left to seal the win.

Point had an early scoring chance with Jake Virtanen in the first period, but neither team was able to find the back of the net in the opening frame.

The scoring started coming in bunches in the second period with Team Orr compiling a 3-1 lead.  Their third goal came off a nice rush by Point as he took the puck into the slot and Josh Ho-Sang tipped his shot out of the air for the lead going into the second intermission.

Midway through the third period, Point undressed a Team Cherry defenceman coming into the zone, but was poke checked by goalie Alex Nedeljkovic before getting a shot off.

A late goal by Jared McCann put Team Orr in front for good.  McCann picked up player of the game honours for Team Orr, while Nikolay Goldobin, who scored once and was stopped on a penalty shot, was Team Cherry's recipient.

Point will now rejoin the Warriors when they arrive in Portland for the start of their six-game US Division road trip.
