Brayden Point is moving into hallowed territory in Moose Jaw Warriors' history.

The Warriors' captain collected a goal and four points on Wednesday night in Moose Jaw's 6-1 win over the Swift Current Broncos.

Those four points pushed him out of a tie with Jason Bast and into sole possession of third place on the Warriors' all-time scoring list.

“I didn't know that, but it's pretty exciting,” said Point after Wednesday's game. “Obviously there's been a lot of great players that have played here in the past, so to be in the mix with them is pretty special.”

Point now has 258 points (109 goals and 149 assists) in 212 career games. He reach 254 points in 120 less games than Bast, who played five seasons with the Warriors and is the team's all-time games played leader.

“It's something that I can look back at when my career is over and be proud of, but there's still lots of work to do here and I'm just focusing on that,” said Point.

Next up for Point is Chad Hinz in second place at 332 points. There's 62 games remaining in the regular season, meaning Point would have to average 1.19 points per game for the rest of the season to hit that mark.

He's expected to miss at least ten games to represent Canada at the 2016 World Junior Hockey Championship, however he's averaged 2.63 points per game through eight games this season.

Theoren Fleury leads the way with 472 points.
