While we now look to the World Juniors for hockey excitement during the holidays, Sportsnet has released their mid-season WHL awards.

Brayden Point was selected as top player for his dominating performance before sitting out with a shoulder injury.   Of course, point is now at the World Juniors and has been cleared for play by Team Canada as they prepare for Team USA this Saturday for the Tournament Opener.

Noah Gregor is the only other Moose Jaw Warrior name that shows up on the list.  Gregor was given an honourable mention for top rookie.  He's currently third on the rookie scoring sheet, averaging a point a game and totally 34 points on the season so far.
