If everything pans out, the U15 AA Moose Jaw Warriors might be playing in exhibition game action this weekend.

Once the regular season starts, the team will be playing in a mini-league that includes themselves, a pair of Notre Dame teams, Swift Current, and the Regina Aces and Pat Blues.

Warriors head coach Todd Cole is happy to know they have games just around the corner, and he said they won't change how they prepare for the season.

"We just want to make sure the kids have a good work ethic this year and they work hard for the full 60 minutes," said Cole. "We've instilled that in our practices, and if they can carry that out into games, that's a good thing and hopefully we can come out with some wins."

Regardless, it is good news to know a schedule is forthcoming.

"It's earlier than I anticipated because I initially thought we weren't going to see anything until December, so with this announcement it's good," Cole said. "We should be able to get at least 12 games in, before Christmastime with how our schedule worked and with our bubble, so I'm pretty excited for the kids. They've been working hard."

The team has had 14 practices already, which also pleases Cole.

A pre-season game could be in the offering as soon as Sunday. The regular season could start as early as November 1.
