Weston Dressler, left, celebrates with Chris Getzlaf last season.

Weston Dressler is on his way back to Saskatchewan.

Reports on Twitter from the Winnipeg Free Press' Gary Lawless and Arash Madani of Sportsnet on Wednesday night had the all-star slotback agreeing to a one-year deal to return to the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

Nothing official has been released, but it's reported to be a pro-rated deal worth $200,000 and is pending a physical.

Dressler's services were in high demand after he was released by the NFL's Kansas City Chiefs on Monday. The Ottawa Redblacks made Dressler a contract offer worth $250,000 annually earlier in the day on Wednesday.

Dressler played six seasons with the Riders before being released in January to allow him to pursue NFL opportunities. He has 442 career catches for 6,531 yards and 43 TDs.

He played in three preseason games with the Chiefs, but failed to register a catch before being released during the first roster cutdown.
