The Saskatchewan Roughriders are keeping a few season favourites for next season while also shaking things up a bit.

Both Patrick Lavoie and Loucheiz Purifoy have signed extensions with the CFL team.

Lavoie was received by the Riders in October, and the six-year veteran has amassed 148 receptions for 1,343 yards and seven touchdowns in 118 career regular-season games since the start of his career. The national receiver signed a two-year extension with the Riders, keeping him in the club through 2020.

Purifoy, who joined the Riders for this season, signed a one-year contract extension, keeping him until 2019. The international defensive back has acquired148 defensive tackles, 12 special-teams tackles, eight interceptions and five quarterback sacks in 53 regular-season games throughout his three seasons in the CFL.

Saskatchewan also said goodbye to two players recently. The Riders announced international quarterback Drew Tate's retirement after ten seasons in the CFL.

The other player was traded to the Alouettes. National fullback Spencer Moore heads to Montreal in exchange for a conditional selection in the 2020 CFL Draft. Moore has played six seasons and 81 regular season games with the Riders and was even a part of the 2013 Grey Cup championship team.

Four nationals have also been added to the roster, including national offensive lineman Emmanuel Adusei, national defensive linemen Mathieu Breton and Tresor Mafuta, and national receiver Mitchell Picton.
