The second half of the hoem and home series between the Saskatchewan Roughriders and B.C. Lions ended very favourably for the green and white, with the Riders winning 45-18 at B.C. Place Saturday.

They started strong, scoring 12 points within the first 10 minutes, and didn't let up throughout the game.

Quarterback Cody Fajardo said even with the high score, the defense controlled the game.

“There’s going to be a lot of things, we’ve got to clean up on the film, obviously,” Fajardo said. “But any time you play a team back to back, I feel personally the defence has the upper hand. You can tell that defensively, both teams did a very great job with their adjustments.”

Head coach Craig Dickenson said they try to stay humble regardless of how a game ends.

“Don’t ever apologize for winning, and don’t ever get too happy with yourself either,” said Dickenson. “We know there’s a lot of improvement that goes with it. We talked about not worrying about what the score said, (and) just playing our best football. I thought that was our best game today.

The 3-3 Riders will now take on the 5-1 Hamilton Tiger-Cats on Thursday night, and kick off is at 7:30.
