The lights were on Wednesday night at Elks Field as the Riders rolled past the Lions 35-12 in Pee Wee Minor Football action.

The Lions scored first as Dalton Hansen took the rock five yards for a touchdown, but three straight touchdowns from the Riders to end the first half put them in front for good.

Braylen Breton scored on a 62-yard run just three minutes after Hansen's touchdown.  Josh Fitzpatrick followed that up with a 78 fumble recovery return for a TD to open the second quarter and Ewan Johnson scooped another fumble for the Riders and ran it back 43 yards to end the Lions threat of scoring before half.

The Riders led 16-6 heading into the break

The Riders added to that lead to open the third quarter with Payton Chow scoring on a 12-yard TD run at the start of the second half.  Hansen scored another touchdown for the Lions on a 14-yard run, but that would be their last score of the game.

Chow and Breton added touchdowns in the fourth quarter for the 35-12 win by the Riders.

Riders' player of the game, Josh Fitzpatrick says tackling was the key for them in the win, "We had to tackle the runner before he past the line.  We tackled him as soon as we could."

Michael Alemu was named player of the game for the Lions.

The next Minor Football action is coming up on Friday with the Ti-Cats facing the Bombers in the Pee Wee division and the Colts taking on the Raiders in Bantam action.
