The Saskatchewan inked dynamic returner Christon Jones to a one-year contract extension on Wednesday.

The deal will keep the 25-year-old in Riderville through the 2019 season.

Jones broke out during his rookie season with the Riders. The Alabama Crimson Tide product had 45 punt returns for 645 yards and two touchdowns, while adding 18 kickoff returns for 423 yards in ten regular season games.

He also added 12 punt returns for 223 yards, including a 79-yard touchdown, in the playoffs.

The Riders have currently re-signed three of their 21 free agents.
