The Saskatchewan Roughriders signed two international linebackers on Thursday.

Louy Compton -- six-foot-two, 230 lbs. -- comes to Saskatchewan after playing for Utah State in 2017. The 22-year-old also played for Ellsworth Community College in 2015-2016, collecting 89 defensive tackles, 32 tackles for loss, 22.5 sacks and three forced fumbles. 

Compton was named a 2016 National Junior Conference Athletic Association Second Team All-American. He was a Second Team All-Conference player in 2015 as a freshman.

Pierre -- six-foot-two, 227 lbs. -- played four seasons at Samford University where the 23-year-old picked up 108 defensive tackles, four knockdowns, 1.5 sacks and one interception in 44 games.

The CFL news will really pick up next week when free agency opens on Tuesday.
