The Saskatchewan Roughriders picked up their second win of the season Saturday night, as the defence stood strong, despite 18 penalties, in a 30-8 dismantling of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

The defence was the story of the game for the Riders, as they collected a combined six sacks in the victory. Three of those came from Jonathan Woodward, while A.C. Leonard had two himself. The sixth sack came courtesy of Gary Johnson.

On the offensive side of the football, Cody Fajardo went 17-for-25 and 22 yards, along with two touchdowns. His favourite target of the game was Brayden Lenius, who caught five passes for 62 yards. The receiving touchdowns came on passes to Kyran Moore and Mitchell Picton.

The Riders will be back in action this coming Saturday, at home, when they host the Ottawa Redblacks at Mosaic Stadium.
