The Saskatchewan Roughriders picked up their second home win of the year in their final home game, beating the Hamilton Tiger-Cats 19-3 on Saturday.

With their fate already sealed, the Riders took the chance to rest a number of starters, including quarterback Darian Durant, slotback Andy Fantuz, running back Wes Cates and linebacker Barrin Simpson.

With the young guys leading the way, the Riders jumped out to a 17-0 lead at halftime and then held on in the second half.

Quarterback Ryan Dinwiddie went 7-for-20 for 139 yards in the win.  He also rushed eight times for 53 yards.

Dinwiddie says they're all playing for their jobs, "It's an awesome win for us.  Obviously we're not in the situation we wanted to be, but a lot of us want to be here next year.  We have pride in this organization and we want to win some games."

The Riders defence played a complete game in shutting down the Ti-Cats offence including picking off Kevin Glenn four times, twice by rookie Craig Butler.

Saskatchewan returns to practice on Monday and will head to Edmonton to wrap-up the regular season on Friday.
